When England entered its first lockdown on 23rd March 2020, our chairman contacted the Department of Health and Social Care offering the services of our wholly owned China operation. Working directly with the Department of Health and Social Care, we sourced and arranged logistics for critical PPE, including goggles, masks, gowns, gloves, face shields, and oxygen distribution equipment. Urathon was accredited as a VIP supplier, delivering 225 million fully qualified face masks in 2020 alone — at a rate of 5 million per day — to the UK’s main NHS distribution hub in Daventry.
