Senior Team

Lindsey Muir

CEO

Lindsey has worked in Urathon for two and a half years, bringing a grounding of twenty+ years as a management consultant with specialties safety and systems development. Lindsey is responsible for day to day running of the business and regularly travels to China to visit our suppliers plus our assembly plant and logistics operation. With any free time, Lindsey enjoys gardening and also has a small flock of fancy chickens.

Ian Batchelor

Sales Director

Ian has worked for Urathon for twenty-six years. Ian was responsible for launching Urathon Flat Free Tyres for wheelchairs to the wheelchair industry worldwide. Ian works with a diverse range of clients worldwide and continues to focus on building Urathon’s reputation as one of the most influential brand manufacturing companies in the Healthcare industry. Ian lives with his wife and son and when not working he can be found in the Gym.

Accounts Finance

Becci Sinden

Finance Director

Becci Joined Urathon in 2006. With over twenty years accounting experience and a CIMAS advanced diploma in Management Accounting, Becci has a sound understanding of accounting practices and principles, both in the UK and China. Managing the UK Finance team, Becci also oversees of the Accounts dep’t in China, visiting to provide training and ensuring symmetry with our UK office. In her spare time Becci likes outdoor pursuits with her husband and two young children.

Jimmy Sinden

Assistant Accountant

Jimmy has been working for Urathon for over fifteen years. He initially started in Sales Processing which later developed into a Sales Analyst position. As the company expanded along with Jimmy’s own experience he grew his role further utilising his skills within the Accounts team. He has twice travelled to China to visit the factory and suppliers. Jimmy lives with his wife and two children. For leisure time, they enjoy going to the beach and getting some travelling in.

Rob Taylor

Financial Controller

Rob has been working as the Financial Controller for Urathon for eight years. Starting as an Assistant Accountant, he managed to work his way up within our Accounts team. Rob keeps a general oversite of the UK accounts for the company, including payroll, HR, VAT, stock control and reports for Management accounts. When he’s not at work, Rob enjoys spending his weekends with his family and has a passion for wildlife.

Rosemary Rose

Finance Assistance

Rosemary has worked at Urathon for three years. Having previously worked for over twenty years as a legal secretary and fee earner, Rosemary decided on a career change and now enjoys working in our Finance Department. Her many and varied duties include paying suppliers, handling VAT/ freight payments and working with both Sterling and foreign currency. She enjoys spending time with her family young granddaughters and also loves her Siamese and Bengal cats.

Administration

Paige Hanchant

Personal Assistant to the Directors

Paige joined Urathon in 2016 as a PA to the Directors and is responsible for the day to day admin of the Sales office. Her main roles include assisting Executive Chairman, Hugh Sims-Hilditch in account management and communications with customers and our Chinese factories. She has also assisted in the start-up of our sister retail company, Iconicare. Paige enjoys painting and sings in a band. Along with her husband, our Account Manager Grant, she’s just bought her first home.

Engineering

Mike Ives

Head of Quality control

Mike has worked at Urathon for over sixteen years; his duties include overseeing Design & Production of new products along with Quality Control and dealing any technical issues. Mike brings his experience as a trained toolmaker and knowledge of various metalworking machines as well as a grounding in design and production of safety system. His interests include cooking and Formula 1. Mike also carries out time to charity work and like to spend time with his granddaughter.

Purchasing & Logistics

Lawrence Weaver

Sales Analyst

Lawrence Joined the company in September 2014 after working for the Armed Forces, where he gained a great deal of skills and experience as well as getting to travel the world. His varied duties include creating and presenting profitability tracking data, managing some customer accounts, order processing and helping to cover the Warehouse Manager. During his down time, Lawrence enjoys walking his dog and photography, or even spending lunch hours tending his local allotment.

Ted Gash

Purchasing Manager

Trained originally as an aircraft engineer and worked in the RAF, then overseas for many years in Saudi Arabia & Oman, returned to the UK and worked for an important customer for Urathon. Joined Urathon early 2007 employed as a Purchase Manager with a small input into Technical matters when required. Ted enjoys music, motor racing and falconry, plus travelling and exploring China with his wife.

Grant Marshall

Account Manager

Grant started working at Urathon at the beginning of 2019 as a Sales Account Manager. His role includes building relationships with customers, ensuring their day to day needs are met and any queries answered promptly. Grant works closely with Hugh, Executive Chairman, and Ian, Sales Director. Grant is also Manchester United fan as well as a keen musician. He also recently bought his first home after marrying our very own Paige at the end of last year.

Warehouse

Andy Blake

Warehouse Manager

Andy joined Urathon in 2007 as a warehouse assistant, he progressed to assistant manager and then solely ran the warehouse for 9 years until January 2020 where the increasing expansion of the company required an assistant. His main roles are the despatching of goods, stock control, unloading of containers and a point of contact for all our and our customers shipping needs. Outside of work, Andy plays lawn bowls and has received a number of caps for Wiltshire, and in 2019, along with his team mates at Royal Wootton Bassett won a national title at the annual national championships at Royal Leamington Spa.
